All the people means from all over the world, of any kind of ethnic origins, skin colors, languages spoken, body shapes etc… We encourage you to behave nicely, politely and respectfully in your relationships with other users.
You come here for distractions, if you feel annoyed, embarrassed, not interested or harassed by someone don’t let things go bad, the best decision is to move on, even block if necessary. Don’t go into the downward spiral of aggressiveness, insults, guilt, shame and bullying.
Assume the consequences and the responsibility of what you write, say or post. Don’t feel obliged to act as you wouldn’t do in the real life because you are behind a smartphone. The Bear movement has always fight for respect and acceptance, so act as a proud member of it.
Please know that profile and public media are moderated and must follow the rules listed below.

The same rules as for the avatar apply concerning nudity, sexually suggestive poses, discrimination, insults, age, weapons and drugs.
For the rest, it is a space to express yourself and communicate. Share your hobbies, passion, moments of life you want to with the other users.
In any case, if you have a doubt to post a photo or a video in public, ask yourself this simple question : Would I show this to my mum?

-No text that incites racism, bigotry, hate or physical harm of any kind, or anything else that might offend our community.
-No advertising of services, goods, websites or apps.
-No mention of drugs of any kind.
-No profanity or curse words, including abbreviations and slang.
-Don’t promote unsafe sex.
Protect yourself and your privacy.
Would you give very personal and private information about yourself to a total stranger?
Of course, not. It is exactly the same online.
Don’t give information that allows to personally identify you: social security numbers, credit card numbers, name, street addresses, telephone numbers, driver license numbers. Even giving phone numbers or email address, in the early days, may be a mistake until you are sure of the intentions of the other user.
Enjoy your online experience on W | Bear, feel free to remain anonymous until you feel ready and comfortable to do so. We provide you a technological service that allows you to communicate, express yourself, have interactions with people all over the world in total safety until you have fully decided to reveal your personal email address or phone number. So take your time to make a decision.
On any app or website that provides human interactions services you will meet scammers. Be wise. They usually act the same way. They create a fake profile, using pictures of someone else (from 1 to 3 max). Their description is similar/or more or less to : “ Serious single man looking for the love of my life/ searching for my soulmate”. Their only goal is to steal you money, for them you are a prey, don’t let them hunt…
Be aware of certain red alarms :
-Quickly ask you to give you phone number/whatsapp/email address
-Pretend to be from you country (sometimes localized close to you, using VPN), but travelling or living abroad.
-Make lots of grammar and orthography errors.
-Often pretend to be in the army.
-Send you links or suspicious emails to click.
-Quickly ask for money because they are in a desperate situation.
-Put pressure on you to get your personal details.
The best is to stop the communication and report them to us asap.
Respect the other users :
-Don’t steal photos and videos from other users.
-Don’t impersonate someone else by using pictures you have stolen on the internet
-Don’t insult and/or harass and/or stalk others because they don’t want to talk to you or open their private album. You are maybe not their type, but you are surely someone else’s type. Just be cool.
-Don’t post contents that are unlawful, harmful, threatening, illegal, disrespectful, abusive, racist and objectionable.
You can report others if they violate the rules :
-Inappropriate contents, or not respecting the W | Bear rules of publication
-Ask you for money or donations
-Minors (under 18y.o.) using the app
-Users sending harassing or offensive messages
-Solicitations such as massages, escort services, prostitution etc…
Your content can be removed or relocated. This is not personal. We are Bears and Gay men just like you, we are not shocked or offended by what you post. But to exist we need the app to be present and distributed by the 2 main stores. They have rules, if we don’t respect these rules the risk is to be purely and simply removed from the stores, which will mean the end of the adventure for us. If your content is re-located or removed it is because it doesn’t respect the rules of publication. We know that not everyone reads it, it is not a big deal, but we are here to ensure that the rules are respected.
Your posts may not appear each time in the worldfeed. This is the same, don’t take it personally. According to the stores rules, certain pose (suggestive poses, holding your bulge even if you wear underwear) or outfits (harness or jock-strap for example) are considered as objectionable and cannot appear in the worldfeed.
We also think that the worldfeed has to be a place where people like to browse for nice contents, so images that appear too cropped, blurry, too dark etc… will not appear in the feed.
Reports and complaints :
We investigate all the complaints that are sent to us. We take any action that we believe is appropriate from sending warnings to terminate accounts. But this doesn’t mean that we will take action each time your report a media or a profile, if we believe that the reported contents or users are not objectionable or offensive.
You can also help us by giving us details to take a decision : “fake” or “stolen pics” is not really helpful. If you think someone has stolen the pics of a person you know, give us his social networks profile name, we will go faster to take action.
Be also aware that we will take actions against untimely reporters for false reason.
Suspension of service :
W | Bear reserves the right to suspend the use of its services from temporarily to the total and final destruction of a profile in case of non respect of the rules and guidelines.
